Thanksgiving

We were greeted to a Thanksgiving with a light dusting of snow. It was just enough to be pretty and not enough to mess things up for everyone's travel plans. We received a nice centerpiece for the table from Anne's Grandfather in Washington.

Dinner is turkey and mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and a choice of two pies. My dad is slaving away in his kitchen as I write this piece.

New Things and Little Drew

A very significant person in our family's life and that of Drew senior stopped by the house tonight bringing gifts and well wishes for Drew. That person is none other than Betty Hengst. Betty ran the Montessori school where big Drew spent his formative years and learned how to read. Her influence has had a big influence on Drew and the family. In fact you could say she inspired me to get involved in education.

Betty and her husband Werner own a group of Montessori schools--where with any luck Little Drew will attend.

Growth

Drew grew 3/4 of an inch and 4 oz at his doctor visit today. He is healthy and doing well. He was very good while mom drove all over the place.
