Here are some great new photos of little drew here in University Place Washington. Today we went to the airforce base bx for some shopping and then about town and to see grandpa. I am really tired. I like this grandma over here too she is nice like my other grandma. My grandpa scare me a little but I am getting used to him.

I fell asleep when my parents went to Fred Meyer. I was tired and it was too late for me--so I just took a nap.

Diaper size 2

Hey all I have been busy at day care and just moved up another diaper size.

Face fun and sitting

I couldn't get the food in my mouth last night so I just got it all over my face. I am also working on sitting and stuff. Kinda hard when your head is in the 95% percentile and your weight is in the 10%. I mean come on I am all head. Not really surprising--Have you seen my dad?

We are going out to Seattle for the April break and we are looking forward to seeing everyone!

On the Mat

Here I am on my mat enjoying some time in the living room. I watched the birds this morning. Watching the birds is fun they seem to be so busy eating from the birdfeeder on the porch. Standing is funn too. When my parents hold my hands I can stand and that helps me build muscles for crawling and walking.

How do you like them apples. . . .

Well they taste very wierd compared to the grains and mush but I guess they are fine.

I went to the doctor on Friday and I gained 2Lbs 12OZ in the last month. I also grew 3/4 of an inch. I even suprised myself. I am working on my muscles for standing and walking and I coo and talk to myself all the time. I had a bath today and I have to sit on the toddler side. I am getting big.

Peas. . .

Today I tried my first taste of peas. They were very weird tasting but I am growing to like them. My diet now consists of Barley, Oatmeal, Rice, and peas. Boy can't wait to see what this does to my digestive system. It is raining here in New York today and Grandma watched me for a while so that my parents could go out and get some things done. Thanks Grandma! Talk to you later.

Sitting with Grandpa

I am hanging out with grandpa getting ready to eat my mush today. I have not been sleeping much. In fact for the past 4 nights I have delighted in keeping my parents awake for the fun of it. I am growing by leaps and bounds with this new food stuff and I think the doctor will be very surprised when she sees me on Friday.

Weekend were made for makin poo. . .

Anne and I are busy most weekends but not to busy to get some cool photos of our one and only son.

We are pretty tired and getting things ready for day care seems to take hours. Nobody told us that we would be doing so much laundry either. This kid wears more outfits than Elton John. Wait maybe that is not a good comparison. We spend most Saturdays running around taking care of things. We picked up a humidifier on doctors orders for his congestion and alergies. Should help with the dry factor. Anne and I both wake up most nights with bloody noses so it can't be good for the baby.

EWWWW!

The baby made me puke for the first time today. Seems that when puked upon in large volume his dad is unable to stop his gag reflex. Sad but true.

Anne and I are enjoying the baby even though we are very tired. He is happpy and enjoying his day care in Yonkers. It is noce to have the etra time with him on the way in to work in the morning and on the way home. He is a joy and an inspiration in our lives and we feel blessed to have him.

Little Drew is talking up a storm now though none of it makes any sense. He is also starting to display some real emotions. He can anticipate when things are going to happen, and he is very able to pick up and hold his head. He is sleeping more an hour or two at a time, and he is getting much much bigger.

It is nice being a dad.

Home with Dad

I have been home with the baby today as Anne is off for a speed interviewing session at Teachers College. It is about 1:30 now and we have been together since about 8 or so when we woke up. So far he has had three bottles, three diaper changes and a rather large bowl of oatmeal. He even fell asleep in his little chair on top of the kitchen table. He likes to be up high so he can see all of the going on in the place.

Kick Gym Time

I have been using my kick gym now and boy am I having a blast. I have the power--I mean I just kick the bottom with my feet when I want to see the sights and sounds. Woohoo!

This is the Swing From Robbin and Bob at work in the living room. He is working it well and having a great time.

Hitting the bottle

Though I sometimes drive mom and dad toward hitting the bottle they have not been hitting the bottle.

On the other hand I have been hitting the bottle quite a bit. Check me out here reaching for the bottle--then hitting the bottle. We would show you pictures of hitting the boob but this is a kid friendly site. :)

Playing and week off

The best way to spend a week off is with your baby. Watching him play with things is amazing and he is so portable we can take him anywhere. Today it is warmer here in New York about 40. It has been freezing -- welll below freezing here almost every night since Saturday and the woodburning stove has been burning. Today I am off to the gym for chest and shoulders and triceps.

Today is the first day of the rest of your rice

Yup today was the first day for me to try rice and I liked it. It is not as good or as messy as the oatmeal though.

My big brother Gus hurt his paw. He is gimping around all over the house and having trouble gettting up and around. Maybe if he stopped snaeking out so much he wouldn't have been hurt. What do you think Gus?

So anyway. I started eating real people food and I like it! Mom says I make a great big mess when I eat but I sure love the oatmeal mush. If you look I am even holding the spoon.

coo and poo

Little Drew is in day care now and Mom is back at work. He has started grabbing things and is holding his head up very well. Although he is still not sleeping through the night he is turning into more of a little person with his own personality.

My cousin Julia and her husband John had their baby about 7 weeks early today. Mom and baby are fine. There was a scare with Preeclamsia and the baby had to come early. All looks well with 3lb 12oz Haley and we are looking forward to seeing more pictures.

My moms dear friends Carol and Mike were visiting this weekend and we snapped this photo at my parents house of Carol and baby Drew.

Going to Seattle end of week. . .

So I have been sick for over 2 weeks now and when I went to the doctor he said I was on the edge with walking pneumonia. That is the main reason that I have been neglectful this week. I was out of work last week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I am turning the corner now after some very powerful antibiotics. Of course that has its downside too. LOL

Anne is going back to work on Thursday and Friday and Then we are off to Seattle Friday night. Little Drew will be having his first two days of day care, and his first plane ride all in the same week! We are looking forward to seeing friends and family while we are in Seattle.

On the down side my cousin is loosing her battle with cancer. Cathy decided to have a baptism for her son and made it out of bed for the ceremony in the hospital. My parents were down to see her in Southern, NJ this Friday and Saturday. Our prayers are with her and her family.

Lil Drew doing well Big Drew Laid Up. . .

Big Drew has been sick for the last three days and doing nothing but sleeping on the couch to stay away from the baby. Lil Drew is doing well except he is still suffering from acid reflux. I wonder what is making him so tense? LOL. We had a very significant snowstorm here today and the roads were very bad.
